HERE IS THE NEWS
Using resources from the BBC School Reporters initiative and with the guidance of English teachers, Mrs Sandham and Mr Redfern, a group of Year 8 students learned techniques and tips for news gathering and reporting on Thursday 16th March 2017.
Working in small groups, they chose diverse topical issues in the national and international news, as well as issues closer to school.
In so doing, they brushed up their research, interview and writing skills whilst learning a very important lesson in life: how to make a deadline.
