St Benedict’s Catholic High School is delighted to announce a new curriculum for post-16 students.
We have listened to our students, reviewed our current offer internally and sought external expert advice and have decided that from September 2020 we will be offering a suite of A Levels, together with an extended range of BTECs.
As one of only two Catholic secondary schools in Warwickshire, the school has a responsibility to offer Catholic education to all who want to continue it beyond 16. To that end, we have consulted widely and are excited at the opportunities that the new curriculum will offer. It will be broader, with greater individual choice, and cater for all types of learners. The focus will not just be on a new academic curriculum, but will also form an inclusive offer intended to equip our students with the necessary life skills that employers seek alongside preparing them for life in a fast changing society.
Lessons will continue to be delivered in our purpose-built Sixth Form Centre which has its own Social Area, canteen and private study area. We welcome applications from current Year 11 students from our main school and, most warmly, students from other schools locally.
Current Year 12 students will continue with their IB curriculum until summer 2021.
An Open Evening is planned for Thursday 27 February, 6pm – 8pm, where students and parents will have opportunity to find out more about the curriculum on offer.
Online applications can be submitted from Monday 24 February with a closing date of Monday 30 March.
Please keep referring to our website for up-dated details.
